Marriott Rewards points just became more flexible for elite members of the program. Silver, Gold and Platinum Elite members can now redeem their points for just about anything their hearts desire through the Marriott Rewards Redeem for Anything awards. The sky is the limit and members can redeem for awards such as custom-built golf clubs, tickets to the Olympics or a dream vacation such as zipping through the Tuscan countryside in a Ferrari on your way to a five-star hotel.

Anything awards start at 50,000 points and members can redeem with points only — cash and points redemptions are not available. The Web site does not list the point requirements for awards — you call or fill out an email form to describe your Redeem for Anything request to get a points redemption quote. These awards are similar to the Personal Shopper option of IHG Priority Club Rewards that also offers members the opportunity to request awards starting at 50,000 points. The difference being that the Priority Club offer is open for all members and is geared more toward merchandise.
