Last month, Air Canada donated five million Aeroplan miles to mark its fourth year of supporting non-profit organizations that focus on children and youth in Canada. The miles are a result of the airline’s Kids’ Horizons program, which supports the travel and fundraising needs of children’s charities, and were distributed equally among five groups: The Children’s Miracle Network Canada, Breakfast Clubs of Canada, Street Kids International, Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation Canada and Dreams Take Flight. The five million miles, which were given to representatives from each group during a musical celebration in Toronto on Oct. 3, 2007, is the equivalent of 150 flights.
