United Mileage Plus members can now request retroactive credit via united.com for the following Star Alliance partners: ANA, Asiana, Lufthansa, SAS, SWISS and TAP. Members will no longer have to mail in copies of tickets and boarding passes, and the credit for the flights will post within an average 14 days compared to the previous six to eight weeks. Retroactive credit for partner flights can be claimed up to 12 months from date of travel. United promises that more partner airlines will offer online retroactive requests in the coming months.
