US Airways recently awarded one million Dividend Miles to Joseph Helms of Avondale, Ariz., the grand-prize winner in the US Airways Vacations Million Miles, Million Dreams Sweepstakes. Mr. Helms told us he was surprised to win the miles after forgetting he had filled out the online registration and “getting the call to say I’d won was a complete shock — I hadn’t even thought about what I’d do if I won! I have now, and the first few trips I’m planning are a Panama Canal Cruise, a trip to Europe and then China. I’ve been a Dividend Miles member since the merger and FlightFund member for many years before that, and I’ve always thought they are one of the best frequent flyer programs out there, especially the elite program.” US Airways received close to 42,000 entries to the contest that teamed the airline up with Walt Disney World in celebration of the Year of a Million Dreams.
