US Airways unveiled a new off-peak saver award that allows members to redeem up to 30 percent fewer miles for award travel. A roundtrip off-peak saver award between the continental U.S. or Canada and the Caribbean is now available for 25,000 miles (normally 30,000) in coach and 50,000 miles (normally 60,000) in first or business class. A roundtrip saver award between North America and Europe is 35,000 miles (normally 50,000) in coach and 60,000 miles (normally 80,000) in first or business class. Off-peak travel dates include Sept. 1-30, 2007 and Jan. 1-Feb. 29, 2008.

Editors’ Note: Although the dates when these awards are available are rather restrictive, it’s good to see a frequent flyer program remind us of the good ole days when awards were cheap and plentiful (at least with these new off-peak awards, the cheap is there — time will tell if the plentiful will also be there).
