San Francisco will be Southwest Airlines 64th city when the airline inaugurates service from that city Aug. 26, 2007. With 18 daily nonstop departures, San Francisco will be the largest initial new city in the airline’s history. Southwest will begin its nonstop SFO service to the following cities: Chicago (Midway); San Diego and Las Vegas; direct or connecting service will be offered to 46 other destinations such as Boston, Washington, D.C. and Orlando. Customers from SFO are being wooed with low fares and recently, select Rapid Rewards members were offered triple credit for flights within California.
