Delta recently launched Spanish-language self-service kiosks in airports in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. The touch-screen driven kiosks will have the same functionality as the English version with quick 90-second check-in, the option to switch to an earlier flight and Medallion upgrade processing. The kiosks will also be able to accept credit card payments for excess baggage charges. Delta has been expanding operations to Latin America and the new kiosks will better serve its growing number of Spanish-speaking customers. Delta’s senior vice president of Airport Customer Service, Rich Cordell, says that the airline is planning to add French to the kiosks later this year.
