The 21,000 miles will come after approval and making $250 in qualifying transactions. The card features the Mileage Plus Choices Program that offers five new awards, including any open seat on any available United flight, any hotel stay or car rental, anytime when booked at united.com. The maximum number of miles cardmembers can earn per year is 60,000, unless you are a Mileage Plus elite-level member, where there is no cap. Cardmembers earn one mile per eligible $1 spent (no double miles when buying United flight tickets). Members also get a free one-way 1,000-mile, one-class upgrade certificate (available from a full-fare coach fare) and a $25 United Discount Travel Certificate. The Signature card comes with no pre-set spending limit, meaning charges are based on your revolving credit access line of credit, zero liability for unauthorized purchases and a 24-hour personal concierge service. A Visa Platinum Business Card is also available with a similar bonus offer, but cardmembers will earn two miles for every eligible $1 spent on United purchases and the cap for non-elite members is 150,000 a year. The first year fee is waived (a $75 savings).
