Avis car renters will soon have the option to rent a portable WiFi hot spot with an extra fee of $10.95 per day. The devices, from Autonet Mobile Service, provide a broadband mobile network that is compatible with all WiFi-enabled devices such as laptops, MacBooks, Ultra-Mobile PC handhelds and PDAs. The service will be offered early in the year at select Avis locations in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C.
