Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is the tenth Star Alliance member airline to offer Star Alliance upgrade awards. This redemption option allows customers to redeem miles or points from their frequent flyer program for one-class upgrades on flights operated by the participating Star Alliance member carriers. The programs of the following airlines currently offer Star Alliance upgrade awards: ANA, Asiana Airlines, Austrian, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, SWISS, TAP Portugal, Thai and United Airlines. Look for more Star Alliance airlines to offer these upgrade awards in the future.
