Delta.com Speaks Your Language

Delta Air Lines is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of delta.com. The Web site recently launched expanded language availability: French, German, Italian and Portuguese in addition to English and Spanish. Members can now access travel information, bookings, seat assignments, flight check-in, award ticket booking, refunds and more in their choice of six languages.

Delta promises these enhancements in 2007: online booking for SkyMiles award travel on partner airlines; an online calendar view of available SkyMiles awards seats; global mobile access via devices such as Blackberry and Treo; more payment options such as PayPal, CheckFree and Western Union; additional languages such as Russian, Chinese and Japanese and integrated travel and related services including hotel, car rental, theater tickets and more.

SkyMiles members earn 500 bonus miles when booking flights online and can book award travel using their miles. In 2006, delta.com sold its 30 millionth ticket and hit $10 billion in sales. Also in 2006, delta.com introduced Flexible Shopping Options, enabling customers to search for travel by day, weekend, city and more; an inflight interactive flight tracker and automatic upgrades for Medallion members.
