American Express has introduced First Collection, a premium collection of awards available exclusively for Platinum and Centurion Membership Reward cardholders. These special awards are available for redemption rates from 20,500 to 93,200,000 points. Think of it as the award program for those who have more points than they know what to do with. The temptations are many and varied, from a private jet ride with a stay at Oberoi Hotels & Resorts in Egypt, or a white and gold diamond watch from Chopard’s Ice Cube Collection to a year’s lease of a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. Currently being offered are 50 awards grouped into four categories: lifestyle, jewelry, watches and travel. More options will be coming soon including a fashion category. For those who are among the loftiest members of Membership Rewards, they will be recognized as such as soon as they login to the Membership Rewards site and will have access to the exclusive First Collection pages. We’re guessing that a lot of point hoarders out there are going to be tempted out of their points nest in the very near future.
