It’s a dueling Dallas free for all. With Southwest Airlines benefiting from the end of the Wright Amendment restrictions, the airline is offering low fares on its new one-stop (same plane) and connecting service from Dallas’ Love Field. As airlines often do, American was up for the challenge and also lowered their fares.

As things heat up between the two carriers, until Dec. 31, when members of AAdvantage fly American or American Eagle to/from DFW International Airport or Love field in Dallas to 42 cities that Southwest also serves, they will earn double miles. Members must register online before flying at aa.com using bonus code AA2XM. The bonus miles will not count toward elite status.

Rapid Rewards members will earn double flight credit for flights to and out of Love Field until Dec. 31. Members must book their travel on southwest.com or swabiz.com to earn the bonus. Travel booked on swavacations.com will not be eligible.
