If we had to pick just one promotion that has stood out in the past few years, it might just be the Faster Free Nights promotion from Hyatt Gold Passport and MasterCard.
Just when it seemed that this wonderfully rich program might have become too rich for its own continued existence, the two partners have gotten back together for their latest rendition. Essentially, it’s the original Faster Free Nights with a few minor changes and it all starts on Nov. 1.
Like previous Faster Free Nights promotions, this one allows Hyatt Gold Passport members to earn unlimited free nights at Hyatt hotels and resorts worldwide. From November 1, 2006 through January 31 , 2007 members who pay for their stay with a MasterCard will earn a free night with every two stays. Members can redeem their free nights between November 15 and March 31, 2007. These awards are provided in addition to the Gold Passport points that members can earn on each Hyatt stay.
There is no limit to the number of free nights that members can earn. Free nights can be redeemed easily at any participating Hyatt worldwide. Awards are available electronically (on-line) and are paperless. Current Gold Passport members must sign up to participate via http://www.goldpassport.com or by phoning 1-800-51-HYATT. New members who join Gold Passport as of November 1 will automatically be signed up to participate in the promotion.
We touted this promotion as “the best hotel promotion of 2002” and it has continued to earn rave reviews from the members of Gold Passport.
At a time when virtually every hotel guest program has introduced some sort of credit card that earns points towards free nights year around, Hyatt continues down a unique path with this promotion, which might provide an even richer payout than anything you can do with a standard affiliated credit card.
Now before you put this magazine down to begin booking your hotel stays, be advised that Hyatt Place, AmeriSuites, Summerfield Suites and Hawthorne Suites are not participating in this promotion.
