Northwest Goes on Safari

Northwest Goes on Safari

Celebrating WorldPerks’ 20th anniversary, Northwest has launched the MileSafari promotion for members residing in the 50 states or Canada. Register online at http://www.nwa.com/offers/milesafari by Dec. 31 to earn up to 100,000 miles. Members can earn MileSafari points through flying (10 points for direct flight discount coach tickets and up to 130 points for International World Business Class), booking online (five points), electronic check-in (five points), signing up for a WorldPerks Visa (40 points), staying at partner hotels (five points per stay), renting from car rental partners (five points per rental), sending flowers, and more. And the more points you earn, the faster the miles will accumulate. Those who earn 2,500+ points will earn 100,000 miles and the top five point-earners will get an additional prize including an African safari package to the overall point earner. Take note that you have to move fast on this one — the qualifying period ends Jan. 31, 2007.

Note: We think that Northwest should count the first five years of their frequent flyer program when it was called the Northwest Orient Free Flight Plan. We know — just another case of trying to look younger!
