Following in the footsteps of some North American competitors, China Airlines has decided to discount award travel on short-haul flights.

Until Nov. 30, short-haul awards (defined as those between any two points in Asia) will drop to 31,500 miles from 35,000 miles in economy. First-class awards drop from 90,000 to 85,000 miles, and Dynasty-class travel drops from 50,000 to 46,500 miles.

All awards are roundtrip, and tickets may be issued at China Airlines’ ticketing counter or the Dynasty Flyer Web site.
