InterContinental Hotels Group now offers Canadian members of Priority Club Rewards the opportunity to stay at any hotel, anywhere — even their rivals’. Canadian members can now take advantage of the gutsy promotion that’s been available to U.S. members for a few months now: They can redeem points for a prepaid lodging card that can be used toward stays at nearly any hotel that accepts American Express.

This comes at a time when Canadians are increasingly embracing participation in loyalty programs. According to a 2004 survey conducted by AC Nielsen Canada, 97 percent of Canadians took part in at least one loyalty program.

In the U.S. in the first 6 months of the promotion, over 100 million points were redeemed for Any Hotel, Anywhere rewards.

The lodging cards are valued in denominations between $100 and $250. You can also redeem your points to order the card as a gift and have it mailed directly to anyone residing in Canada.
