American AAdvantage – July, 26 2005

Are you tired of shelling out big miles for short flights? If you’re an American AAdvantage member, your problem may be solved — at least temporarily, anyway.

AAdvantage is offering discounted Short-Hop Awards from Sept. 1 through Feb. 28, 2006. Members can grab a short-hop flight award for as little as 15,000 miles, which translates to a 10,000-mile savings.

If you’re looking to upgrade, you might be pleased to know that AAdvantage members can get a short-hop award in First or Business Class for as little 30,000 miles, which is a savings of 15,000 miles.

This offer is valid on non-stop flights within the continental U.S. or Canada operated by American Airlines, American Eagle or AmericanConnection. The flight must be less than 750 air miles (each way) in order to be considered a short-hop flight. Some examples of short-hop flights include: Chicago and Philadelphia, Chicago and Atlanta, Los Angeles and San Francisco, Boston and Raleigh/Durham, and Dallas/Fort Worth and New Orleans. Short-hop awards are only valid for roundtrip travel, and of course, award inventory is subject to seat availability and capacity controls.

Short-hop awards are available for booking right now, so don’t delay — book before this sale runs out the door. For information, or to book a flight award, visit http://www.aa.com.
