They may have been first when it came to frequent flyer programs, but American AAdvantage will be one of the last to officially discontinue the use of a printed Member Guide. Last month, the frequent flyer juggernaut said it will replace the Guide with a printable version online in a PDF format. Members interested in downloading the Guide will need to be sure they have software that allows PDF files to be opened, such as Adobe Acrobat.

AAdvantage says they will ensure that the Guide is updated before it goes online.
