JAL Mileage Bank – April, 26 2005

Good news for JAL Mileage Bank members who keep forgetting to secure upgrades before they get to the airport: From now until Sept. 30, JAL is allowing Mileage Bank members flying between New York and Tokyo or London and Tokyo to request upgrades to the next level of service at the airport on their day of travel. This new service is being used on a trial basis, and upgrades are limited, so it is recommended that members attempt to secure seats early.

Airport upgrades will incur a processing fee of 6,000 miles or 6,000 yen. Upgrades will be available on a first come first serve basis when seats are available. Standard rules and conditions pertaining to JMB upgrade awards will still apply.
