Nevertheless, Delta SkyMiles and American Express are giving cardholders something a little extra to look forward to this fall.

From Oct. 15 through Nov. 15, members can earn double miles on all eligible purchases of clothing, electronics, sporting goods, as well as eligible purchases from bookstores and discount superstores when using the card.
