Best Western Gets Busy

During what has seemed a sleepy summer for hotel programs, Best Western’s Gold Crown Club International is bucking the trend.

Until Aug. 31, Gold Crown Club members can earn 25 percent more miles when converting points into miles. With the bonus, 500 Gold Crown Club points convert to 1,250 airline miles with the following programs: American AAdvantage, Air Canada Aeroplan, Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan, America West FlightFund, Delta SkyMiles and Northwest WorldPerks. A maximum of 5,000 points may be converted to miles, for a maximum of 2,500 bonus miles.

Best Western has also teamed up with Diners Club. Through Sept. 30, members of Gold Crown Club International will earn up to 400 bonus points with qualified stays paid for with their Diners Club card. Guests with one stay receive 100 bonus points; two stays entitle patrons to another 100 bonus points; and customers with three stays by the end of September will earn an additional 200 bonus points.

At the same time, Best Western guests continue to receive the standard points earned for each qualified stay. To be eligible, guests must reside in North America and register for the offer prior to their first stay at http://www.goldcrownclub.com, or call (800) 237-8483 and mention promotion code DC400.

And coming this fall, Best Western will re-launch its “Double Up” promotion. From Sept. 1 through Nov. 30, members will earn double points or double miles with every qualified stay.
