Starwood Preferred Guest – March, 29 2004

Spring has sprung and Starwood is springing a great promotion for Preferred Guest members. Through May 31, members will earn double points (four Starpoints per dollar spent) beginning with a second stay.

Now, everyone would agree that double points are nice, but Preferred Guest has gone the extra mile. During the promotional period, each stay a member makes will also count as two stays toward elite qualification. All this is on top of the normal member discount of up to 35-percent off room rates at select properties.

Normally, 25 nights or 10 eligible stays are required to attain Gold Preferred Guest status. However, during this promotional period, members can make just five two-night stays to qualify for elite status, all while earning double points.

Once elite status has been achieved, Preferred Guest members will earn 50-percent more points for each qualifying dollar spent on all eligible charges at participating hotels. Some other perks available to elite members include 4 p.m. late check out and upgrades at check-in when upgrades are available.

Prior to staying, members must register at http://www.spg.com/double double to take advantage of this promotion.
