As we commence the new year, Tarom Romanian’s SmartMiles program will be introducing two new features.

Though details have yet to be finalized, the program will begin to offer “package” type awards, allowing members to use miles for both travel and accommodation. The service, called “SMART Weekends” should be available in early 2004.

In addition, the Tarom Web site has been enhanced with a new service called “SuperSpecials@TAROM,” which will allow visitors to find and book the lowest possible fares. As an added plus to SmartMiles members, the first flight booked online will net 500 miles, and each subsequent online booking will earn 100 miles.
