Several airlines are now offering miles for sale, just in time for the holiday season. But not all miles are priced alike. Northwest and United top the list, with Northwest selling miles for 3.1 cents each followed by United, which would like to fetch 2.8 cents per mile. Alaska, America West, American and Midwest Express are selling miles for 2.5 cents and Delta charges 2.75 cents per mile … Emirates Airlines is ending its partnership with All Nippon Airways on March 31, meaning travelers will no longer be able to earn Skyward miles on Emirates flights. However, reward flights will still be available for up to a year after ties are broken, provided flights are booked and ticketed by March 31, 2003 … Accountant on vacation? That’s what thousands of Holiday Inn guests were left asking after a glitch resulted in a misplaced decimal point on thousands of bills recently. The snafu turned a simple $100 fee into a credit-busting $10,000 charge. The error affected about 26,000 people staying at the Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Crown Plaza Hotels in late October. Six Continents, which owns the three chains, apologized for the gaffe and offered those guests who were overcharged two free nights at any hotel operated by the three chains. Mer’s comments appear to be a clear sign that the government is reconsidering its timetable for the state sell-off. This past summer, the government said it planned to cut its 54.4 percent stake in Air France to below 20 percent … Northwest and Hertz are no longer partners.
